
If I get that car, I’ll be happy.
If I get that job, I’ll be happy.
If I get that girl/boy, I’ll be happy.
If I clear that exam, I’ll be happy.
If I get that opportunity, I’ll be happy.
We form such beliefs, and then, in our pursuit of happiness, we run after these things. What happens then? Do we become happy?
Look at the world around you for the answers.
This happiness we are pursuing comes with great suffering. It is rather no happiness at all, just an illusion of happiness.
Where’s the real happiness?
