When I realize that my beloved Guru Nanak is within all, whom will I criticize? Whom will I hate? Whom will I cheat?
When I realize that my Guru Nanak sees through the eyes of everyone, smells through the nose of everyone, touches through the hands of everyone, speaks through the tongue of everyone, and listens through the ears of everyone, whom will I not love?
Kahlil Gibran said everyone is a son or a daughter of life’s longing for itself. And life is consciousness or “Hukam” or “Naam” or “Shabad” or Guru Nanak or Waheguru himself.
It is only till I remain in my doubts do I hold opinions about people, judge people, and not allow the Guru Nanak in me to fully express himself.
Sant Sujan Singh ji said “ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਿ ਨਹੀ ਬਦਲਤੀ, ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਬਦਲਤੀ ਹੈ”, which means “the world doesn’t change, your vision changes”. The world is same: somebody sees it as full of enemies and mean spirited people while another sees it full of friends and caring people. Gurbani sees it as Waheguru or God in different forms and shapes
ਸਭੁ ਗੋਬਿੰਦੁ ਹੈ ਸਭੁ ਗੋਬਿੰਦੁ ਹੈ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਬਿਨੁ ਨਹੀ ਕੋਈ ॥
God is everything, God is everything. Without God, there is nothing at all.
