Baba Nand Singh ji used to ask from the Sangat (congregation), “what does a Sikh have to become?”
“Nothing”, he used to answer himself.
He used to add, “The purpose is to become nothing. One who is still something hasn’t reached yet.”
How strange are the talks of Saints and Gurbani? And what a contrast our lives present to such talks?
We are always striving to become “Something”, always looking for something to boast of, always looking for something to be better over others.
And the purpose of life?
To become nothing!
