Someone said that, “You’ll be given every time you ask. So, think before you ask so that you don’t repent when you get it.”
When you can desire the highest, why desire the lowest? When you can desire the lord himself, why desire the lowly materialistic achievements?
I believe the evolution of a human soul is directly linked with the evolution of its desires. At its most crude level, it wishes evil for others and materialistic comforts for the self. And at its finest level, it wishes just the love of the lord for both itself and the world.
